SO... WE CLOSED ON OUR 1ST HOME!!! YEAH! We closed March 31. The first 3 weeks were spent redoing, painting, refinishing, tearing out, putting in,etc... We didn't actually move in until the end of April! However, we are finally getting settled after our crazy lives taking us out of town a couple times.
However, I will do posts of each room before and after... but for now here are all the BEFORE pictures. This is the condition of the home when we closed. It was a short sale, so everything was as-is, which in all honesty is still in quite good condition, just some paint change and decorating and we'll be good!
First on our tour... the Living Room. The first room you walk into when you come in.
*Note: cheep looking pergo flooring, brass fixtures, gross window coverings and brown wall (which we later found out was exterior paint...whoops!)
The door on the right goes to the basement.
Again Note: Brass fixture, window coverings, gross tile next to the pergo with a metal transition strip!
Note: GROSS RED/ORANGE TILE (which we later found out was laid on TOP of old linoleum), and brass light fixture and the continuation of brown (exterior flat) paint.
Our 2 car garage! (Or my "studio" we like to call it) We currently can only park one car in there because of my "to-do" list of all the pieces I have to refinish. Seriously, there are like 10 in there... so LOTS for me to do and posts for you to see! yeah! The view after you walk up the stairs. 4th bedroom (Brooke's room) on the left, Master bedroom on the right, plus a linen closet!
Now, as we continue the tour, you will need to BRACE YOURSELF...
The Master Bedroom... Yes, it is even brighter in person. We affectionately refer to this room as "Blue Man Group" blue. We LOVE the ceiling fan though. Also, the curtains in this room are now in the family room... The door on the right is our WALK-IN CLOSET! (It's the small things we're super excited about! ;) Our room is the same size as our family room. It's 15x17. It's huge, bigger than my parents' one that they've lived in for 20 years... Seriously, its awesome!
Now, to go ALL the way downstairs... OUR BASEMENT! Yes, it's a full unfinished basement! It's approx 800 sq feet! IT'S HUGE! Dan's workshop will be on the right, we'll section it off so we can saw and chop and nail to his hearts content. (That is also where our 2nd fridge and food storage is...) My washer and dryer are on the left. I'll have a craft/scrapbooking corner set up over there. Where I'm standing to take the picture is where the kids play area and future toy disasters will be!
Since my Dad was our AWESOME realtor, we got a screamin deal on our house. It appraised for $210,000 and the purchase price was $195,000! WOO! Thanks DAD!
(P.S. If you're house hunting in the Denver metro area, I highly recommend him, not just because he's my Dad, but because he's awesome! He has won 5 awards just this year alone, one of which was the top 5 realtor's in ALL OF DENVER, and that's all the companies combined, not just inside Keller Williams. So seriously... call him.)
SIGNING THE ACTUALLY PAPER THAT SAID WE HAVE PURCHASED IT AND IT WAS PUT IN OUR NAME!!! EEK!
xoxo!

Holy cow!!! Your home is gorgeous! I love the moulding in the main living area with the brown walls. And I love that you thought to bring a camera when you signed the papers- that's awesome! Totally something I would do. Congratulations, guys!
